Transportable units ticking all the boxes
Designing a high-quality product and making things easy for clients has always been the aim of transportable home company Unit2Go. That’s why the majority of the company’s products come with building consents. Company owner Mark Ross says this not only takes care of one important part of the process for clients but also indicates the standards to which products are constructed.
Unit2Go was started around 10 years ago by qualified builder Mark and his wife Tania, a property manager. The couple saw a gap in the market for transportable units – sleep-outs, cabins, granny flats, tiny homes and larger four-bedroom homes. They now deliver North Island wide and occasionally into the South Island. Unit2Go products are delivered to the site with a specialist truck-and-trailer system. Mark says that there is usually no site prep needed if the site is reasonably flat. Unit2Go can provide information to design suitable foundations and can also put the cabins on piles.
